I recently went to Jersey City LITM bar for an Art Exhibition called, "American Laundry". Apparently, the second Tuesday of the month, they host an event showcasing a new art exhibit and local art. It was amazing! The crowd was very welcoming, considering I came solo! Art, politics, yummy bubbly & meeting new people is always fun. I randomly met the curator, Andrea Morin, who is so lovely!
What I love about art is looking at it, taking it in and then letting it capture you. Lately, I realized how important it is to me to find local inspiration from local artists. Being someone who recently moved to Jersey City this past September, I found myself lost in the diverse, beautiful, artsy and open-minded parts of Jersey City. It gets you when you least expect it.
It all started three months ago when I decided to "go alone, grab a drink & see what happens" to different places till I found my Cre8tive Mojo. I lost my cre8tive mojo last year sometime. This one crazy decision to explore lead to many random adventures thus far. Some of them I will share with you in future posts.
