POLITICS----!! I don't know how I got so involved into politics, again. Growing up, I always wanted to make a difference, yet I tended to stay away from Politics after college. I was a political science major, with a minor in psychology and sociology. After I left college, politics seemed too complicated to deal with. Recently, I got involved in pushing for change by using my VOICE on social media. It lead me into strong discussions. Then, I got got KICKED out of a local facebook group for the WAY I addressed a politic issue: The privatization of public housing. I never thought I would get kicked out making light over a political issue but then, the MEDIA is the easiest thing to hide once's true political agenda. I became aware that many of the major facebook groups and media sources were in deed CONTROLLED by the political body of the town. Soon after, I took a much needed break. I realized that ROME wasn't built in a day.

Coming together to advocate is the best feeling ever! It reminded me of my college years, where my friends and I held up signs fighting the tuition hike. I remember one time, we slept outside in cardboard boxes to raise awareness for the homeless, or when we called many voters to push voter participation for the primaries. I remember when I was a secretary to a assemblyman in Albany for a year. It brought back my memories of life before business. SO many nights my college friends and I ended up at the green party house for a vegan potluck or the occasion party.

WE WERE YOUNG< DUMB AND FULL OF POLITICAL AWARENESS!

A time in my life, I smile at, thinking of all the beer I consumed, while discussing global warming or women's rights. Recent turn in my life, made me wonder---do I still have it in me?

Then again, what the fuck did I know? A lot of politics is how things are campaigned rather than the actual truth. To get to the root of an issue is extremely difficult when so much looks like bullshit. At times, politics is used to divide people instead of bringing them together.each side debates, and the best debate wins, but rarely do you have people sit down together to come up with the best outcome.
