DAY THREE: It has rough! I feel like an addict. The urges are there to log on to social media, but I haven't so far. I did go to the library to pick up a cook book, finished reading "The Alchemist" and decided to accept this challenge as a possible new way of life.
I have noticed how peaceful it is when you are not constantly LIKING, COMMENTING, SCROLLING or STALKING people's profiles. It feels like you can FINALLY just focus on your life. I had a bad case of FOMO, which lead to my social media addiction. I am not going to lie, I have met and connected with new people and gotten invites to parties because I was on social media. It seem to take over though.
It is so hard to just let go of the need to keep up with everything and everyone. It's even more difficult to not share your ever moment of life on social media. I realized that maybe I had too many random people in my business- that I really didn't need to have. Also, I realized that I wasn't giving enough facetime to people that are part of my inner circle because I equated social media time to real time. The most valuable thing that I learned in the past couple days OFF of social media the liberating feeling of being private and present, without the intention of sharing.
