Be realist about how much time and effort you can put into the business in the beginning till you reach your first real success.
Figure out what training or certificates you need to get to be a professional.
Know that there is a learning curve. It might take you 1-6 years to get it right.
Be passionate about what you can offer.
Don't doubt that people will pay you great money for your skills or product.
Know that it will be hard in the beginning
Yet, once you get the hang of it, you will have clients that love your company, employees that help support your vision, and a product/brand that makes you happy. The support will be coming your way in the future.
Don't give up---and CHARGE for your work.
in the beginning, you might have to give discounts, yet as you get a hold of what your brand is and what your ideal client is, you can cater to them better.
Be open to partnering up with people who have a different skill set as you. It will make your job easier. Some people are creative, and some are more sales..see what you are missing in your business and try to collaborate or outsource, to make up for it. If collaboration isn't an option, meet for coffee and exchange ideas.
BONUS: CELEBRATE YOUR SUCCESSES! most small victories in business are hard earned, so they taste so sweet!--celebrate them with the people you love.
