  1. Understand IT is a love-hate relationship...in your head. I LOVE chocolate, but I hate gaining weight. SO then you have a bad day--- there goes the bag of chocolates...

  2. Self-sabotaging is only fun in the moment....yet right after you indulge yourself, there comes the guilt and beating yourself up part. With zero compassion for ourselves, we go into some sorta self punishment...and downward spiral.

  3. After we beat ourselves up, and stare at the empty wrappers on the table of devoured chocolate, we ask ourselves why are we so vulnerable to chocolate whenever there is a weak moment---so we go into deep reflection.

  4. Then, your mother calls, or the next thought comes in quickly---and YUP there's goes the little bit of deep reflection right out the window.

  5. THEN REPEAT!!!

  6. Actually, self-sabotage is a really a combination of lack of self-control, deep reflection and self-protection. IF you are self-sabotaging---you will need to ask yourself--what is it that needs work---Your self-control? Have your done deep reflection? Are do you have a problem with self-protection?

  7. If you have a problem with self control, then you must allow yourself the FREEDOM to reward yourself when you do control.

  8. If you have a problem with deep-reflection? THen ask yourself why do you need to devour that chocolate so bad---what is the deeper feelings you are running from and attack that feeling head on. SOmetimes it's disappoinment, sometimes is just plain boredom.

  9. If you have a problem with self-protection...ask yourself---who else will protect you, if you can't? Take some self-protection classes--kArate.

  10. Be compassionate with yourself. These self sabotaging tactics usually are deep rooted. It will take time, but evenually you will overcome it.
