Cre8tive Mojo takes on NYC! {Series Part 2}

One month in AND It feels like a BLANK CANVAS...ready to be built upon. I need to figure out my way . Starting this business in NYC has been the biggest risk I have taken in awhile. It came after a GUT feeling that told me it was time to BRANCH OFF. Letting my creativity rampant was my main mission, and making $$$!!!

1 month in....Here is what I learned about NYC Business:

1. Landlord will try to charge your extra for stupid things and you need to stand your ground.

2. You will need to SMOOZE (Security guards in the buildings, the businesses around you, and your neighbors) to figure out who to give your flyers to.

3. It will not be EASY to navigate NYC influencers... close by. They are right there.

4. The people that you THINK will refer you clients, most likely wont. AND the ones that you bi-pass thinking will never refer you business....WILL KEEP SENDING YOU PEOPLE....People can surprise you....let them.

5. Yes, shove your flyer under the doors....get a board and post it up. GET THE FOOT TRAFFIC.

6. Don't let the BIG bad city frighten you....know that you might be a nice hustler. WORK HARD.

7. LICK YOUR WOUNDS...Have no ego and get your clients.

It is too early to see whether I will be an INSTANT hit money maker or it will be a slow process... #StayTunedforJan
