Cre8tive Mojo talks quarantine (part 3)

Now that I have settled into Quarantine...things have changed. I watch LESS news, and try to distance myself from the sadness of quarantine. If I choose to watch the vampire show, The Originals, all day in my PJS, I will. If I don't want to be social, I won't. If I don't want to be on social media, I wont. I would say I entered the part of this where I deal with my own personal losses by zoning out and embracing this "New Normal'.

The things I look forward to have been driving down to Nyack, and Peirmont stopping to see the views of the waterfront along the way. Most times, I end up at the parking lot, overlooking the Nyack waterfront. Joined with other people also parked in their cars, with opened trunks for a little car outdoor party. On another occasion, I bought my ice cream and had a little car party myself.

My new normal means embracing something NEW.The things I miss are replacing themselves with other things. Like now, the occasional quarantini at home feels like a treat. YouTube has become my go to for workouts. There is an option for Virtual Dates on Bumble. The need to put on cloths, makeup, and shoes, have been replaced with the comfort of truly being myself---zero fucks. This means, usually, not showered, hair in a bun, and my favorite soft PJs on. In midst of madness, I am settling into the comfort it all.

Domesticated and quarantined, we have learned to embrace the sides of us that no one sees and no one knows. THIS HIDDEN SELF, can now be free to roam around in PJS and just be. So embrace it as best as you can. Be Rebelliously you!

Stay Safe
